Valerie Cherish (Kudrow) was once a pioneer of reality TV. Now, there's more TV than ever, and the one-time sitcom star wants back in. Hiring a student film crew to shoot footage she hopes will put her back on the map, Valerie is irate when she learns her former nemesis (and fresh out of rehab) Paulie G. has a new HBO show--based on his experiences working with her. Crashing the HBO offices crying defamation, she winds up getting the role based on herself. Returning cast members include Lance Barber, Dan Bucatinsky, Robert Michael Morris, Damian Young, Laura Silverman and Malin Akerman.

    I downloaded this expecting it would be light entertainment. However, it is PHENOMENAL. Lisa Kudrow slays it. Funny, cringeworthy, honest, powerful, heartbreaking in turns. Well done.

    Thank you so much for bringing this to us iTunes. Season two is just as brilliantly clever as the first! The season kicks off with energy and excitement but takes an even deeper look into the mind of Valerie and who she is as an actress in Hollywood. Each character has the same amount of charm as before and the comedy makes the viewer think and laugh, which is very hard to do, but does so- triumphantly!! I love Lisa! and I love the cast, and I love the Comeback- Thank Goodness its made a comeback!!!

    No show handles comedy and drama so well and so quickly from one to the other. Lisa Kudrow is amazing. I loved the first season. The second season is even better.

    The first season took years before it finally caught on. It look like this one will probably go the same way, since the ratings have been so poor. I really don’t understand it, because it is one of the most brilliant shows on tv. I have watched and rewatched the first season (It kind of grows on you with time). But, the second season really is even better. IT’s funny, painful, poignant and for those who loved the first season it has a pretty amazing payoff. I don’t want to give it away. Just watch it!

    I’m writing this review because this show, which is THE LOWEST RATED ON TELEVISION, is one of the most brilliant television programs of the last twenty or thirty years. Kudrow is perfection. Performances do not get any better. Her modulation of this character is miraculous to behold. The comedy is so dry and deadpan and multivalent that simps won’t get it, But it is genius, heartbreaking satire and very very funny. This season deepens the relationships in great ways. Robert Michael Morris is a revelation at Mickey. The whole cast is exquisite. A jewel in HBO’s crown, ratings or no. This is essential viewing.

    I loved the first season, but this second season is absolutely hilarious and heartbreaking. Every episode was great, the story so well-told and acted and this is not my car, Jane. Jane?!
