Ten years ago, she was TV's 'It' girl. Now It's a different story. For Valerie Cherish, no price is too high to pay for clinging to the spotlight. From award-winning 'Sex and the City' writer Michael Patrick King comes this comedy series starring Lisa Kudrow as Valerie--a former B-list television actress so desperate to revive her career that she agrees to star in a reality show that follows her efforts to land a part in a new sitcom. Each episode delves inside the madness of the television world, the Beverly Hills lifestyle, and the bravery of a comic-tragic 40-year-old actress as she struggles to keep her career afloat while balancing her personal life--all under the unforgiving scrutiny of the ubiquitous cameras. Robert Michael Morris, Damian Young, Laura Silverman, Malin Akerman, Robert Bagnell and Lance Barber co-star.

Such an amazing and true talent, and a show that is hard to "keep up" with in the sense of being able to lift the bar higher and higher. Every episode full of complete laugh out loud moments and constant tears of joy and relation to the emotional experience she shared through the camera despite her attempt to keep a poker face regardless of the situation at hand.

I am a FRIENDS fan. That show, their chemistry, the hilarious and brilliant comedic actors mixed with the incredible writing is saturated in my being. I never recognized Lisa Kudrow the way I recognize her now after watching this show. She is something else. She always has been, I just happened to view her from another perspective now. Not only is her real life story inspiring and awesome but this show, The Comeback, is too good. I’m glad I JUST heard about it because if I watched it in 2005, I wouldn’t have been able to understand why it didn’t come back for another season. I would have been FURIOUS. Especially the last episode—it left so many questions unanswered yet provided more opportunities for a second, a third, and fourth season. I can’t wait to start Season 2!!!

This show and Web Therapy are two of my favorite shows. Lisa Kudrow is Valerie Cherish/ Fiona Wallace. She deserves all the kudos and recognition that she has received. This is a must watch!

I couldn’t believe this show got cancelled. This is definitely one of the best things I’ve ever seen on TV. There are so many layers to Valerie Cherish and Lisa Kudrow’s delivery is flawless. She makes living in a world without Madeline Kahn much more bearable.
  • The definition of a perfect comedy.

The Comeback is unlike any other comedy. What makes this show so special is the genius portrayal of Valerie Cherish. Lisa Kudrow's exquisite creation challenges both her dramatic and comedic skills, and to no surprise Kudrow delivers a performance with witty and natural charm. She is able to draw the viewer in and keeps them interested, entertained and most importantly in fits of laughter. Her deep understanding and affection for this character and the world in which she exists, makes for the perfect half an hour escape and is a true testament to Kudrow's stunning work and abilities. I recommend this show to anyone out there who wants to see comedy at its absolute best, and feel the rare and gratifying feeling of money very very well spent! Bring on Season 2!

I was so disappointed when this show was cancelled. It honestly is one of the smartest and wittiest comedies I have ever watched. I always find American humor tends to run towards the 'obvious' or 'slap stick' whereas this is actually subtle and Lisa Kudrow's delivery is priceless!
