Lizzie McGuire and her best friends Gordo and Miranda try to survive junior high school without losing their dignity. With dreams of popularity, Lizzie inadvertently starts a hurtful rumor about Kate which Miranda takes the blame for, resulting in a full-scale war between Kate and Miranda. Then Lizzie finds she is gifted at Rhythmic Gymnastics. Unfortunately, it’s the nerdiest sport in school! Still craving the spotlight, Lizzie runs for class President. She becomes a viable candidate with Gordo’s help, but success goes to her head.
